cant believe my baby is going to be a BIG SISTER!!!

37 Weeks! I cant believe in just a few short weeks we will have another child. We are very excited but also anxious about what is in store :)

How far along? 37 Weeks
How big is baby? HUGE! Around 6.5 lbs.

Weight gain? 28 lbs.

Maternity clothes? I feel like some of my maternity clothes are starting to feel tight....that is definitely a sign this baby is ready to enter this world.

Stretch marks? Nope-well I dont think so...but I cant really see all of my belly to examine it.
Sleep?: Maybe a little better. I still wake up about 3-4 times every night....but I guess its just getting my ready for the night feedings again.

Best moment this week? Well, finding out that baby boy is head down, 2 cm dilated, ad 50% effaced...also baby's head is in a low station 1 position...whatever that means. At my appointment today she said she would think I would be early...but she thought the same thing with Julianne and she was only a day early...we will see :)

Movement? Yes! He kicks me a lot and you can see his little foot poking out.
Food cravings? Chocolate Milk and Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips.

Gender? BOY

Labor signs? Yep, contractions a few times a day...sometimes really really painful ones.

Belly button in or out? Completely flat.
What I miss? Sleep, sleeping on my stomach, not moaning when I move and not feeling like I am walking with a bowling ball between my legs.

What I am looking forward to? The month of MAY and Easter Sunday coming up. It will be our last Holiday as a family of three :(

8 weeks to go...

Sooo...here we are...at 32 weeks! Wow! I can definitely say that I FEEL like 32 weeks! I havent taken any recent pictures, but here are some from a few weeks ago at our friends Ro and Landrum's wedding! (30 weeks when the pics were taken)

How far along? 32 Weeks
How big is baby? It feels like a watermelon, but around 4 pounds is what the sources say.
Weight gain? 20 lbs. I only gained 25 with Julianne. We will see, I am thinking I will gain a little more with baby boy :)
Maternity clothes? What a silly question to even answer...I Cant wait to pack those clothes up!
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep?: Sleep is something that has been completely different with this pregnancy. I dont remember ever having problems with J. But, I wake up about 3-4 times every night...for no reason! I feel like I am ready to start my day at 12am, 3am, 5am.
Best moment this week? Since I have not posted about the last 8 weeks of this pregnancy...there has been a lot of great moments. We painted the nursery blue, got new curtains, moved Julianne to her "big girl" room! We have had some little boy outfits given to us and I just love looking at them. So sweet. Also, I out all of Juliannes "newborn" clothes to see how much unisex outfits we have...like yellow/white/green stuff. Also, found some lovely items that I think I tried to block from my memory...like nursing pads and creams...uhhh, I forgot about what a necessity those things were! By the way...the cloth ones are MUCH better than the disposable ones, FYI.
Movement? Yes! Lots of little flutters and a few kicks...this baby is low! real low!
Food cravings? Nah. I dont really crave anything anymore. And I get full really fast. Sometimes I am SO hungry and want to get a lot, but my stomach just cant hold it.
Gender? Sweet baby blue
Labor signs? Kinda, as weird as it sounds. I was having major BH contractions one day and had to come home and lay down and drink water...I havent really had another day like that, but I get lots of little contractions throughout the day. I just have this feeling that boy is going to be early. Maybe because I want him to be late...we will see.
Belly button in or out? In!
What I miss? LOTS! Being able to get out of the car, off the couch, out of bed without feeling like I am 90 years old.
What I am looking forward to? I will say that I am nervous about having 2 babies under the age of 18 months. What were we thinking?!? Well, it doesn't really matter what we were thinking, God was thinking, sure you can handle it...no big deal. I have been thinking a lot about how Julianne is going to adjust to this new baby. Aside from her being a wonderful baby/toddler. She is a very independent little girl. She will just go in her room and read books for a LONG time. Sometimes I will try to sit down with her and read one to her and she "shoos" me away. She likes doing her own thing and is little Miss Independent. But, there are those times (usually in the evening) where she just wants me to hold her...she does the cling to my leg and say Mama, Mama, Mama...until I pick her up. I love it. Sometimes, I will just let her do it for a minute because it really does melt my heart. Along with just about everything else she does. Brothers and Sisters are the best gift you can give a child...so I am looking forward to Julianne being a big Sister!

24 Weeks!

When I tell people I am due in May...It really does seem like such a long time! But when I say that I am 24 weeks pregnant...I feel like the next 16 will go by SO fast. We are just trying to soak up this time with one baby, but we are so excited about getting to experience the best day of our lives again!
How far along? 24 weeks
How big is baby?
Weight gain? 15 Lbs :)
Maternity clothes? Yes, 100% and I am already tired of them....
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep?: Not so great. I wake up about 5 times every night...like I am wide-awake and ready to start my day. I hope this is not trying to prepare me for a baby who does not sleep...
Best moment this week? Finding out LOTS of my close friends are having babies too! Some are still secrets, but will be revealed soon :) Some that I am SOOOO excited about! It makes me excited to get to go through this journey with some of my best buds!
Movement? Yes! Lots of movement! My placenta is close to my back with this pregnancy...and so I have felt more movement with Baby Boy than with Julesie.
Food cravings? Not so much...I have had all of this weird stomach acid issues with baby #2....I kind of just feel "icky" all the time.
Gender? BOY! I realized I did not do a big post to REVEAL its a BOY! We found out and then kept it a secret until we told families at Christmas...but we are so excited about having a little boy! One of each :)
Labor signs? Nope. I have been getting these little cramps (they hurt!) and I dont remember those with Julianne.
Belly button in or out? In! Pretty sure it will stay in the entire time.
What I miss? Sleeping good...a full night of sleep and not waking up..
What I am looking forward to? Decorating the nursery for a boy! We are in the process of moving Julianne to the guest bedroom and making it her room. The doctor told us to do this as far in advance as possible so she does not think baby boy took her room. We are almost finished moving everything and then we can start painting for a boy! My sweet cousin, Diana gave me all of her baby boy bedding and clothing...so we are set....now we just need to figure out a few ideas with strollers, etc. Any ideas???

My bump..my BIG baby Bump

Well, The bump...its WAY bigger this time (comparing weeks to weeks) than it was with Julianne. I am getting a little worried about what April/May might look like :) I feel like I could write a book about how different pregnancy #2 has been compared to #1....its amazing the difference. I will spare you some of the personal differences that would be way too much info.
I felt like I could run a marathon pregnant with Julianne...literally...I think I really might could have. I felt wonderful...never in pain...no complaints...I loved it so much that I even thought...I could be a surrogate mother for a LIVING.
Well, Not so much with #2. I have been sicker, terrible back pain, trouble sleeping, crazy stomach acid issues, acne, emotional, and well I just never really feel great...granted...I know...I dont have it bad...but I wanted to complain, just a little :)

19 Weeks.

21 Weeks.

Pregnancy Survey!

So a couple of my friends have used this survey to keep everyone up to date with the pregnancy...and I thought I would use the idea to keep up with baby miller #2!
How far along? 19 weeks 2 days!
How big is baby? About the size of a Mango! (6 inches, 8.5 oz)
Weight gain? Around 9 lbs!
Maternity clothes? Some! At 19 weeks I look like I did with Julianne at 27 weeks! I guess that is just what happens with #2!
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep?: Great! I have a cold right now, so that is keeping me up. I have never really had a hard time sleeping...hopefully this will continue until 40 weeks!
Best moment this week? I bought a new maternity dress! I wasn't really excited about wearing my maternity clothes again...I think after you rotate the few you have for a good 5 months...you never really want to see them again! So I was very happy to get a new dress for #2!
Movement? Yes! Lots of little flutters and a few kicks...this baby is low! real low!
Food cravings? Italian food, salad with blue cheese dressing!
Gender? Not sure yet! We actually find out TOMORROW! My vote is boy...we will see!
Labor signs? No way!
Belly button in or out? In! It never came out with Julsies so I think it will stay in this time too.
What I miss? My non-maternity winter wardrobe :(
What I am looking forward to? Finding out the gender!
Milestones? Getting past the yucky stages of Pregnancy! I have had many nausea-free days :)

We are having....

Another Baby!!!!!
Little did we know on September 3, 2010 (which just so happened to be my parents 30th wedding anniversary)...our lives would once again be changed forever...in a really, really wonderful amazingly good way.

With Julianne I took FIVE pregnancy tests...just to make sure in case the other 4 were wrong. I dont know why I always take so many tests. With Baby Miller #2..I took 4..maybe with the next I will only take 3 :)
I guess I am just in such a state of excitement, shock, and feeling of WE ARE HAVING A(ANOTHER) BABY!!!
I cannot tell you how excited and blessed Mark and I are. We cannot wait to meet this sweet sweet Child. We are due May 11, 2011!!!!

C-L-E-M-S-OOOOO-N!

Its that time again...that time where I do not see my husband for 4 straight months! Ha! Football is here and we LOVE it! Julianne has now been to 2 Clemson football games! She claps her hands at the game and is such a cute little tiger. For those of you who do not know our love for CLemson...I will share. Mark and I met, dated, and then got married in Clemson. We actually had our rehearsal dinner in the presidents box at the stadium! All of Julianne's Clemson wardrobe comes from her sweet Dad ;)

It's Amazing

How fast babies change! So last week Julianne started standing all by herself. Not holding on to anything! She is a Pro at it now. I can just see the weeks ahead a little baby step :( Tear. My baby is going to be walking soon..and I think very soon. She might surprise us...and just enjoying the standing thing for a while...but I think a little step is on its way.
She has gotten so good at standing alone..that she now likes to bend down, grab a toy, stand back up and clap (all with toy in hand). She melts my little heart. I cannot get enough of her. When she goes to bed at night-i cannot wait to see her the next morning! Life really and truly does not get any sweeter than this!
Say a little prayer for us this week...tomorrow is her first day of "school". Excited/anxious/nervous for her (well more me)!

9 Months Old!

Congrats to Andrew. He's a Clemson Grad!

Her favorite thing, Standing!

Her least favorite thing, Teething!

Sorry to have been a little MIA the past month...life has just been crazy! We have moved back to Greenville (YIPPEEEEE) and are getting somewhat settled into our new home. I thought packing was tough with a baby. I think unpacking is even harder. Julianne's favorite thing to do is Stand up. That's all she wants to do. She will stand on anything and everything. My feet, my legs, dixie's head, all of her toys. Needless to stay with all of this standing comes lots of falling. So far, all of her "bumps" have gone away within 10 or so minutes.
Her latest is standing in her crib...and not napping. She thinks its so fun to stand and bang on the side of her crib...or eat the side of her crib :) She crawls, sometimes whenever there is something that she really wants to get to..she can, but her main focus right now is to Stand up.
Julianne will be starting at First Baptist's Infant-Toddler Program at the end of August and we are so excited about it! She will just go 2 days a week and I cannot tell you how excited I am for her...her first little friends, teachers, etc. It is a PHENOMENAL program and we are so blessed Julianne gets to be a part of it. She will be in the "Duck" class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cannot wait to share more about it with you.

Summer Lovin' Happening SO fast...

Well, I feel like there has been so much going on this summer and I have not had time to post about it! Julianne has 2 teeth now! She is "almost" crawling. She will get in the crawl position and rock back and forth...so we know its coming soon. Her favorite word is "Ba" that is about all she says is ba ba ba ba ba and da da da da da. I am trying to teach her "Ma" but so far no sound of it.
She is eating and sleeping great. She LOVES sweet potatoes. We are still "trying" many foods, and of course knowing me...debbie dietitian...she is GOING to love ALL foods and not be a picky eater :) Hopefully! She eats squash, peas, carrots, prunes and sweet potatoes. She does not want ANYTHING to do with bananas or green beans. And will eat peaches, pears, and apples only if i "sneak" it in with other foods.
We are still living at the lake in Lavonia for the summer and hopefully will be moved into our new house by mid-July..fingers crossed on that one.
We have been to the beach twice this summer and Julianne loves it :)

Happy 4th of July!

Oh one of my most favortie holidays! We broke the family tradition of always going to the lake and decided to go to Charleston!! We went to the beach, played at the pool, and watched fireworks. Most of which were firsts for Julianne! We stayed with our best friends, Dave and Alice Senetelle :)

Happy 6 Months!

I really can't believe it has been 6 months since the birth of Julianne. She is now sitting up, "talking", grabbing at EVERYTHING and sticking it in her mouth :)

Happy First Mother's Day!...a little late

Having a little one of our own touches a place in my heart that I did not know existed! Everyone will tell you their is nothing like the love you have for your children, and now I can say that I truly agree! This Mother's Day was very special because we got to spend it with our new daughter and my sweet Mom. I have always thought my Mom was wonderful, but now I know there are NO words to describe her. If I can be half of the Mom she is...I think I will be doing pretty good. She is the most selfless person I know. She gives and gives her time, energy, and love to us...never expecting anything in return. Thank You Lord for blessing us with a wonderful daughter and sweet Mom (Mimi) :)
